Ontario Disability Support Program (2024)

Ontario has increased ODSP rates by 4.5% effective July 2024

On July 1, 2024, people receiving ODSP saw an inflation-based increase of 4.5% to:

  • basic needs and shelter maximum amounts for singles and families
  • board and lodge amounts for singles and families
  • the amount provided for a couple where both have disabilities
  • amounts for services provided by a Long-Term Care Home or a Specialized Care Residence

As of July 2023, the Ontario government has tied ODSP rates to inflation. People receiving ODSP will begin to receive the higher payment at the end of July.

For example, if you are a single person, your payment at the end of July could be up to $1,368 for basic needs and shelter.
