Synopsis
A woman drives her car through the snow-covered road to reach the isolated guest house of Yoo Min-ho, while the police record her journey to the guest house. She has come a long way to meet Min-ho, who hides in his guest house from the media.
Min-ho is a successful CEO of an IT company, and two months ago, police arrested him in a hotel room with the dead body of his ex-mistress, See-hee. The woman who comes to see him is a defence lawyer, Yang Shin-ae, arranged by his company.
Shin-ae travels this far to listen to the truth about the locked-room murder case from the mouth of Min-ho and decide whether to commit the case. Min-ho invites her inside and upon her insistence, he starts to narrate the happenings that led to the murder of Kim See-hee.

For a single-day meeting, Min-ho travels to Busan, and later, he stays with See-hee in the same guesthouse. After receiving a call from his wife, Min-ho suddenly feels guilty about his illicit relationship. While driving back home, Min-ho suggests See-hee to end their relationship, and the unexpected news makes the car go out of her control. Their car hits a rock, which simultaneously causes the car coming opposite them to bump into a rock.
The accident kills Han Seon-jae, the person in the opposite car. Shocked by the accident, See-hee restricts Min-ho from informing the police and makes a quick plan to hide the death. As per her plan, Min-ho leaves the accident site with Seon-jae’s dead body and car, while See-hee stays there.
See-hee on the road is found by a middle-aged man. He takes her and the car to his house and fixes it. While looking around the house, See-hee discovers that he is the father of the dead person. She leaves the house immediately, without further conversation.
However, the police start investigating the missing case of Seon-jae, and they visit Min-ho at his office to inquire about the missing man. One day, Min-ho receives a mail with a voice clip and a photograph inside. The voice in the clip blackmails Min-ho, using his illicit relationship. Therefore, to hide it from society, Min-ho reaches the hotel with the money asked. In the hotel room, See-hee was already waiting. Min-ho concluded his version of the story by saying that he was striked at the back of his head, and when he woke up, he saw See-hee dead.
Shin-ae is still suspicious about his version of the incident and thinks the missing of the man is connected with the death of See-hee. Therefore, she tells Min-ho her assumption of the incident. She says it was the parents of the man who might have trapped them and killed See-hee, framing Min-ho. After confusing Min-ho with this story, Shin-ae says she constructed the fake story only to compel Min-ho to spill the truth from his mouth.

She blames Min-ho for plotting the entire drama of hiding the dead body of the young man and killing See-hee. After the man’s death, See-hee is haunted by guilt. Therefore, See-hee summons Min-ho to the hotel room to convince him. Min-ho thinks his confession affects his family life and prestige. Eventually, Min-ho confessed that he killed See-hee. After listening to the whole story, Shin-ae agrees to take the case.
To escape from the murder cases, Min-ho asks Shin-ae to destroy a wrench. Pointing to a pond on the map, he tells Shin-ae that Seon-jae was still alive when he pushed the car into the lake, but Min-ho killed him using the wrench.
It is at this time, the true identity of Shin-ae is revealed. The woman standing in front of Min-ho is Lee Hee-jung, Seon-jae’s mother. She and Seon-jae’s father abducted the real lawyer to discover the truth about their missing son. Min-ho attacked Lee Hee-jung and called the police, pretending she tried to kill Min-ho. Police arrest Lee Hee-jung and her husband.
Using the details that Min-ho spilled out about the death of Seon-jae, police recovers Seon-jae’s car from the lake, ultimately leading to the arrest of Min-ho.
